ESMERA goes Virtual – Robotics Experiments at Global Robot Expo

The ESMERA consortium joins the virtual version of the Global Robot Expo, taking place on October 20th and 21st. ESMERA presents some of their already successful experiments, among them NIx, a robot platform for remote inspection in harsh environments, WIRE COBOTS, a collaborative robot for wire harness assembly and REFLECT, also a collaborative robot tackling the assembly of deformable parts in dishwashers.

The ESMERA team and representatives of the respective experiments can be found at their booth in the virtual exhibition area and looks forward to meeting interested parties on site or rather, meeting them in their virtual avatars. Also, experiments from the ESMERA second Open Call will be present, even if they have just recently started their development process.
In addition to NIx, WIRE COBOTS and REFLECT, ESMERA welcomes three more experiments to their virtual booth. Rover4RT aims at being the robotic alternative, the non-chemical solution to removing and cutting back vegetation in railway maintenance tasks. iRTA is establishing a small robot-based system that can access steep slope vineyards and selectively apply pesticides / fungicides to individual plants, if needed. eQuals has been part of the ESMERA first Open Call and is developing an automated quality check system for car inspection in terms of painting.
The ESMERA consortium is looking forward to meeting partners, friends, industry and interested parties virtually.

About ESMERA
Within the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, ESMERA aims to boost robotics innovation by European Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). In January 2018, the European Commission launched the ESMERA project to unlock the innovation potential of robotics SMEs. ESMERA promotes applied robotics technology developed for industrial challenges set by key European companies. Thereby the SMEs get a chance to implement, apply and prove new technologies that address real-life problems and thus already have a market.

Bota Systems - The SensONE 6-axis force torque sensor for robots

Our Bota Systems force torque sensors, like the SensONE, are designed for collaborative and industrial robots. It enables human machine interaction, provides force, vision and inertia data and offers "plug and work" foll all platforms. The compact design is dustproof and water-resistant. The ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 mounting flange makes integrating the SensONE sensor with robots extremely easy. No adapter is needed, only fasteners! The SensONE sensor is a one of its kind product and the best solution for force feedback applications and collaborative robots at its price. The SensONE is available in two communication options and includes software integration with TwinCAT, ROS, LabVIEW and MATLAB®.
